Former ‘General Hospital’ Actor Johnny Wactor Shot Dead In Downtown Los Angeles During An Alleged Robbery

Former “General Hospital” star Johnny Wactor’s family revealed Sunday that he was fatally shot in downtown Los Angeles when disrupting a catalytic converter heist.

The incident took place Saturday in the vicinity of West Pico Boulevard and South Hope Street at three in a.m. The owner of the car approached three guys allegedly attempting to steal a catalytic converter, according to LAPD detectives.

Scarlett Wactor told ABC7 that her 37-year-old son was strolling with one of her colleagues after leaving her downtown rooftop bar and seen what appeared to be someone working on his car.

She added, originally thinking his car was being towed, he went up to the individual to find out if that was the case. The guy looked up, though, and opened fire while sporting a mask.

Police report three suspects leaving in a car. Wactor was declared dead in a local hospital after paramedics transported him there.
