A rapper aged 17 shot himself by mistake while making a social media music video.
The teenage artist Rylo Huncho was flashing a revolver on his Instagram story, pointing it and showing off its illumination and integrated green laser sight.
He held the weapon, seemed to release the safety, aimed it at his head, and said something foul before depressing the trigger, according to the footage.
The instant the shooting happened, the phone dropping to the ground, was caught on camera.
Police in Suffolk, Virginia, verified that a 17-year-old had died from an unintentional head gunshot wound.
A family member has launched a GoFundMe page in reaction to the tragedy in order to raise $15,000 to aid with the related costs.
Monica Savage and Diane Bryant wrote: “My aunt recently lost her 17 year old son from a self inflicted gun wound to the head He was her only son! She was a single parent but took care of her son the best she could.”
