This week’s public memorial service for Takeoff is being held in Atlanta, and singer Justin Bieber will perform in remembrance of him.
According to TMZ, the funeral ceremony is being conducted in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, where the pop icon will perform on Friday. Although it is still unknown how long Bieber’s concert will go or what specifically he may do, the two have previously worked together.
Although Justin doesn’t technically have any solo tracks with Takeoff, he has worked with the Migos as a whole. The vocalist was a part of the group’s songs “What You See” and “Looking for You.” Additionally, he has a few albums with Takeoff’s uncle and bandmate Quavo.
Rev. Jesse Curney, III, Senior Pastor of New Mercies Christian Church, would preside over the ceremonies, Atlanta radio station V-103 previously reported. On 11/11/22, the service will start promptly at 12:00 pm ET.
Only Georgia residents will be able to access free tickets starting today via Ticketmaster. Fan purchases are limited to two. The public memorial will begin at noon when doors open at 11 a.m. The location does not permit photography or videography, and all equipment will be inspected upon entry.
