Draymond Green, a forward for the Golden State Warriors, has received an indefinite suspension for forcefully punching Jusuf Nurkić, the center for the Phoenix Suns, in the face. This announcement was made Wednesday, December 13 by Joe Dumars, the Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations. This result considers Green’s consistent record of unsportsmanlike behavior.
The event took place at the 8:23 mark of the third quarter during the Warriors’ 119-116 defeat to the Suns on December 12th at Footprint Center. Green was assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 and therefore expelled from the game.
The suspension of Green will commence without delay. Prior to resuming play, he will need to fulfill specific requirements set by the league and organization.
