The document stated that a “blessing provides individuals with a way to strengthen their faith in God.” “The request for a blessing, therefore, embodies and fosters a willingness to embrace the divine, compassion, and a sense of connection to God in countless real-life situations, which is quite significant in our contemporary world.”
He added: “It is a seed of the Holy Spirit that must be nurtured, not hindered.”
