In early December, a tragic incident unfolded in Las Vegas. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a young woman, aged 23, was reportedly kidnapped by individuals she considered friends. Shockingly, one of them was identified as a former NBA G League player. Tragically, the woman lost her life in this horrifying ordeal.

According to authorities, Marayna Rodgers disappeared on December 5 while in the company of her friend, Sakari Harnden, and Harnden’s boyfriend, Chance Comanche, who is 27 years old.
On December 7, two individuals who were acquainted with Rodgers alerted the authorities about her disappearance. They expressed concern as she had been absent and out of contact for a number of days. That’s when the police initiated their investigation.
Two individuals have been apprehended by the Criminal Apprehension Team, which consists of members from the FBI, as well as the police departments of Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas. These arrests are related to the disappearance of Rodgers.
Authorities had strong suspicions of wrongdoing and gathered enough evidence to apprehend Harnden in Las Vegas on December 13th. Comanche was apprehended in Sacramento, California, on December 15th. He is anticipated to be extradited to Nevada to confront charges in Las Vegas.
The body of the victim was found in the desert in Henderson by the Criminal Apprehension Team, as reported by Las Vegas police. The Clark County Office of the Coroner has officially confirmed that the remains belong to Rodgers.
Comanche recently showcased his basketball skills in the NBA G League this season, playing for the Stockton Kings, an affiliate of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, as confirmed by KVVU.
On Friday, the Stockton Kings made the announcement that Comanche has been released from the team.
Comanche also had the opportunity to showcase his skills with the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers this year, where he made a single appearance with the team.
According to Las Vegas police, both Harnden and Comanche are anticipated to face charges of open murder.
