A Texas high school basketball player assaulted his coach in a parking lot following his benching for unsportsmanlike conduct during a game earlier that evening.
Jevin Allen, aged 17, and his brother Jarrick Allen, aged 22, were apprehended on December 5th for their suspected involvement in a physical attack that resulted in the coach sustaining injuries to his head, neck, face, and arms, as stated by officials.
The coach, whose identity remains undisclosed, reported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office that Jevin was excluded from participating in the away game as a consequence of his conduct towards a player from the opposition team. This disciplinary measure provoked intense anger in the teenager and his family.
Authorities reported that upon the coach’s arrival to Willis High School in Conroe, Texas, at approximately 9:52 p.m. following the game, he discovered that the teenager and his family were waiting for him in the parking lot.
According to the sheriff’s office, the coach was confronted by the family and the situation escalated when Jevin purportedly struck him in the face.

According to the authorities, both perpetrators fled the scene following the assault. Following the examination of surveillance footage and interviews with witnesses, law enforcement officials apprehended and detained the siblings, who were subsequently charged with assaulting a public servant.
Upon posting a bond of $23,000 apiece, they were released from Montgomery County Jail.
As to the district’s statement to KHOU, the coach is in the process of recuperating from his injuries, and Jevin is no longer registered as a student at the school.
