Shannon Stillwell, a defendant associated with the Young Slime Life group, is currently hospitalized following a stabbing incident that occurred in the Fulton County Jail.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office has verified to Channel 2 Action News that Stillwell was subjected to a stabbing incident during the night.
Stillwell, also known as Shannon Jackson and SB, is currently being charged with RICO offenses, murder, involvement in a criminal street gang, and firearms violations.
Inmate Willie Brown, who has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of forbidden items, has been identified as the suspect by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies reported that Brown and Stillwell engaged in a physical altercation, resulting in Stillwell being stabbed on many occasions. His current condition is stable. Brown and Stillwell were both located within the same area, however, law enforcement officials have stated that they are unaware of the circumstances that precipitated the stabbing incident.
Brown was initially apprehended on July 22, 2020 by the East Point Police Department on multiple accusations, including felony cruelty to minors and felony murder, among other offenses. He was detained without bail.
Seiden conversed with Tyesha Alexander, the fiance of Stillwell, on Monday. Alexander reported that Stillwell was stabbed in the abdomen and back, and underwent a surgical procedure lasting around two hours.
“I love you and I’m praying for you,” Alexander said. “I’m by your side.”
Alexander expressed that she was deeply disturbed but appreciative that Stillwell survived.
On Monday morning, the attorneys representing Stillwell and the prosecutors convened with the judge in court. Shortly thereafter, the jury was dismissed for the day.
“Ladies and gentlemen we’ve had a medical issue come up with one of our participants, so I’m going to have to recess for today,” the judge said.
Stillwell had been stabbed for the second time during his incarceration. According to his fiancé, he is expected to be under the care of protective custody, and this occurrence should have been prevented
