As a result of the stabbing of one of the co-defendants, the judge who is presiding over the trial of Young Slime Life has stated that the testimony will not resume this week.
Judge Ural Glanville has just informed the jury that he will begin taking them off for the holidays beginning today, rather than waiting until Friday as he had previously planned to do. Next, on January 2, 2024, the jury will make their way back to the courthouse.
Monday was the day that Glanville explained to the jury that it was a medical issue.
It was after the defendant Shannon Stillwell was admitted to the hospital that the early break occurred. Stillwell was stabbed during a brawl that took place at the Fulton County jail, according to the sheriff’s office, which confirmed this information to Michael Seiden of Channel 2.
“Unfortunately, that medical condition still exists. I’m going to recess you for the holidays today,” Glanville said on Tuesday.
Tyesha Alexander, Stillwell’s fiancee, was the one who spoke to Seiden on Monday. She stated that Stillwell had been stabbed twice, once in the stomach and once in the back, and that he had been in surgery for almost two hours.
“I love you and I’m praying for you,” Alexander said. “I’m by your side.”
Although she was startled, Alexander expressed her gratitude that Stillwell is still alive. Deputies have determined that the person responsible for the stabbing is an inmate named Willie Brown. Brown has been charged with aggravated assault as well as possession of forbidden materials.
On July 22, 2020, Brown was initially taken into custody by the East Point Police Department on a number of accusations, including criminal murder and felony cruelty to minors, amongst other offenses. Without any form of bond, he was being kept.
