Cameron Diaz suggests that it should be more common for married couples to have separate bedrooms and even separate houses.
During an appearance on Molly Sims and Emese Gormley’s “Lipstick on the Rim” podcast on Tuesday, the 51-year-old actress, who has been married to Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden since 2015, shared some interesting revelations.
“To me, I have my house, and you have yours,” she remarked. We have a lovely family home situated in a central location. I’m going to head off and get some rest in my room. It’s time for you to rest in your room. I’m doing well.
“And we have the bedroom in the middle that we can gather in for our intimate moments,” “The Holiday” actress added.
“I’ve already mentioned it,” Diaz replied. Just to clarify, my current feelings have changed due to the fact that my husband is truly exceptional. I mentioned that prior to getting married.
Although the “What Happens in Vegas” actress has chosen to maintain a more private life after taking a break from acting, she has openly expressed admiration for her husband on several occasions.
“Marriage was a significant milestone in my life during my 40s, and it brought about new and transformative experiences,” Diaz shared with Harper’s Bazaar in May 2016.
It’s quite impressive. It wasn’t something I ever imagined myself doing, and I’m not sure if I would have done it if I hadn’t met my husband. That was quite unexpected.
