According to a recent Wired article, the CEO of Meta is constructing an impressive compound in Kauai, Hawaii. The compound will boast a range of features, including a 5,000-square-foot underground bunker and an escape hatch. It is designed to be self-sufficient, with its own energy, food, and water supply. The information was obtained through public records requests and sources cited in the article.

According to Wired, the estimated cost of construction for Zuckerberg’s compound, known as Koolau Ranch, is approximately $100 million. This hefty price tag, combined with the $170 million spent on the land, brings the total expense to around $270 million. However, it is worth noting that this figure is likely to be an underestimate.
According to Wired, the compound will feature a minimum of 30 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms, along with a captivating network of approximately twelve tree houses. These tree houses will be interconnected by rope bridges, allowing guests to effortlessly navigate between them and enjoy a unique experience “among the treetops.”
There are plans for two luxurious mansions, connected by a secret tunnel that leads to an underground bunker. This bunker will have an escape hatch, accessible by a ladder, and heavy metal doors filled with concrete for added security. According to Wired, Zuck is currently strategizing in the library about the concept of “blind doors” that seamlessly blend in with the walls.
Meta did not promptly reply to a request for comment.
